Our Values and Vision
Our Values
We recently reviewed our school values with the help of a 'Values Coach.' This process allowed staff to reflect on their motivations and values, and we also invited the children to contribute. It was quite a challenge to narrow it down to three simple words, as parents and children suggested many values they wanted to include. To capture this, we created a word cloud, which you can see at the bottom of this page. After much thought on grouping the values that mean the most to us, we finally selected these three.
Family Fairness Fearless
These essential life skills, which we have chosen to focus on, are not just words on a page. They are tools that support our pupils in navigating challenging situations and building positive relationships with peers and adults. Developing these skills is not just a nice-to-have, but a necessity that can enhance academic performance, boost motivation, promote well-being, and help prevent mental health issues from arising. By fostering these abilities, we teach and learn the emotional foundations necessary for thriving and maintaining mental health.
What are social and emotional skills?
Social and emotional skills enable children and young people to:

-
